Your role on our team: As a Financial Analyst on the Asset Management team, you will analyze the financial performance of real estate assets, support forecasting and budgeting, and provide insights through financial modeling and market research. You'll play a key role in optimizing asset value and preparing presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
In this role, you will:
Review financial performance of apartments and new developments
Provide recommendations to improve performance by investigating variances and understanding key performance drivers
Assist in creating, updating and auditing financial models
Update forecasts by relying on inputs from internal systems, market reports and management
Conduct research and analysis on market conditions, competitor activities and macro-economic factors such as the supply and demand of apartments and housing
Prepare and update presentations to effectively summarize results of financial models, forecasts and research findings
Participate in the annual budgeting process by reviewing assumptions
Assist with the preparation of external valuations by providing required documentation to external appraisers
Assist with quarterly presentations to external Private Equity partners
We would like you to have:
Minimum Qualifications
Post-Secondary Education or University Degree specializing in Finance, Accounting or related field
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Advanced/Superior Excel skills; Intermediate PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
Strong interest in real estate
Self-starter with a desire to understand key metrics and drivers of results
Ability to prioritize and communicate expectations when there are competing deadlines
Advanced Excel and PowerPoints skills
Experience with Yardi considered an asset
CFA designation or pursuit of CFA designation considered an asset
