About the role:
As a Bilingual Funding Officer, you will be responsible for reviewing applications and providing an uncompromising level of customer service to our Partners and Borrowers. This position reports directly to the Funding Operations Manager and will work closely with the rest of the Operations team.
To be successful in this new role, you will need to be organized, detail-oriented and focused on customer service above all else. You are a team player, strong communicator and highly personable. You are comfortable multi-tasking in a high-pressure environment and holding yourself accountable for results.
This is a fully remote, 6-month contract role starting asap.
Working hours: Monday to Friday from 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM and 1-2 weekend shifts per month on average.
What you'll do:
- Manage and complete the loan adjudication process by validating supporting documentation and reviewing loan conditions
- Adhere to established service level agreements (SLAs)
- Provide on the spot coaching to any merchants that require additional document policy training and build lasting customer relationships with Partners
- Provide prompt, efficient, detailed customer-oriented service to all Partners and Borrowers, respond to all inquiries promptly and maintain detailed notes
- Calculate financial ratios to evaluate customers’ financial worthiness.
- Maintain knowledge of lending requirements, internal policies and procedures, and compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Follow security and safeguarding procedures for the prevention of loss due to fraud, money laundering or defalcation.
- Understand risks and take appropriate actions, including all documentation, and any other requirements to maintain operational integrity.
- Review own work for accuracy and completeness, identifying inconsistencies or discrepancies that indicate problems with the quality of work.
Requirements
- Bilingualism in French is required.
- Customer Service experience is required.
- 1+ years of experience in financial services or call centre environment is an asset.
- Willing to learn consumer credit and lending practices.
- Technical and organizational abilities are a must.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Availability between the hours of 4:00 PM and 12:00 AM ET, from Monday to Friday, and between 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM ET on Saturdays and Sundays.
