Amdocs is seeking a talented and motivated AI RAN Engineer to join our advanced Technology Strategy (ORAN team) for 12 months rolling project. Candidate will be at the forefront of integrating Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning into Samsung’s cutting-edge 4G, 5G, and future 6G RAN solutions. This role is critical for enhancing network automation, performance, and intelligence, ensuring Amdocs remains a leader in next-generation mobile networks.
What will your job look like?
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models to improve Samsung RAN performance and operational efficiency.
Analyze large-scale RAN data (KPI, PM, CM, and logs) for anomaly detection, predictive maintenance, and optimization.
Collaborate with Amdocs R&D teams to integrate AI-driven capabilities into Samsung’s ORAN portfolio.
Contribute to the development of AI-powered SON (Self-Organizing Network) features within Samsung RAN solutions.
Support the creation and deployment of intelligent xApps/rApps within O-RAN RIC platforms.
Interface with Tier-1 operators to understand use cases and customize AI solutions for real-world network conditions.
Evaluate and enhance the performance of deployed AI models in live or lab environments.
Document solutions, provide knowledge transfer to regional teams, and support field deployment.
All you need is...
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
5+ years in telecom network optimization or AI/ML development, ideally within a vendor or operator environment.
Prior experience with Samsung RAN products and tools is highly desirable.
Familiarity with 4G/5G technologies; exposure to Open RAN is a plus.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Python, R, or other relevant languages for AI/ML development.
Strong knowledge of mobile network architecture and radio interface protocols.
Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, and data visualization tools.
Hands-on with OSS, NetNumen, or Samsung’s in-house network management platforms.
Soft Skills:
Strong communication and collaboration skills across global and cross-functional teams.
Analytical thinker with a proactive attitude toward problem-solving.
Willingness to work in fast-paced, innovation-driven environments.
Preferred:
Experience developing or integrating with Samsung AI-based SON or O-RAN RIC platforms.
Knowledge of 3GPP and O-RAN Alliance standards.
Prior work with Tier-1 operators using Samsung network equipment.
