Job Title: Financial Reporting Manager
Job Description
The External Reporting Manager is responsible for overseeing external financial reporting, developing and applying global accounting policies, and supporting tax compliance and other financial initiatives. Reporting to the Director, Corporate Controller & Tax, the Manager,
Key Responsibilities
Lead the quarterly and annual public financial reporting process, including coordination with operational sites, internal departments, and external consultants.
Prepare and review consolidated financial statements and supporting documentation for Audit Committee reporting.
Review complex accounting transactions, including share-based compensation and derivative instruments.
Oversee the consolidation process using BPC and OneStream platforms.
Research and implement new accounting standards, including drafting policies, journal entries, and Audit Committee updates.
Analyze technical accounting issues and new transactions, preparing memos and coordinating with external auditors.
Maintain global accounting policies and processes to support efficient and effective reporting cycles.
Prepare the annual budget for the Corporate Controllership Group.
Coordinate quarterly reviews and annual audits with external auditors, including performance evaluations.
Support tax compliance and analysis, including domestic and international filings, tax provisions, transfer pricing, and intercompany transactions.
Contribute to financial planning for acquisitions, mergers, and deal structuring.
Lead initiatives to improve reporting processes and system automation.
Provide IFRS and reporting guidance to operational sites and development projects.
Support the development and continuous improvement of finance personnel across corporate and site locations.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and recommend improvements as needed.
Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by the Director, Corporate Controller.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong knowledge of IFRS, SAP (including S/4HANA), financial statement preparation, and internal controls.
Experience with consolidated reporting and financial systems implementation.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the mining industry.
Background in a Big 4 accounting firm.
Project management experience.
Spanish language proficiency.
Knowledge of Canadian tax compliance and transfer pricing.

Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven leadership and team development capabilities.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Adaptability in a fast-paced, diverse environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.76 - $69.71/hr.

This is a hybrid position in Vancouver,BC.
