This team plays a crucial role in managing our motor recovery claims whilst ensuring exceptional customer service is delivered to all parties. Managing a team of recovery specialists, it will be your responsibility to drive optimal operating performance within the recoveries function, whilst ensuring a consistent delivery of service to our members. With a key focus on coaching and building a high performing team, this role will suit a proactive, achievement-oriented person. Your strength in managing people, engaging your team and importantly setting and achieving results is essential, as is your knowledge of Insurance, Claims and Recovery. Key Responsibilities: Driving team engagement, motivation and recognition. Drive recovery outcomes by setting clear performance targets and ensuring consistent achievement of performance targets. Ensuring all claims are handled in line with RAC Insurance policies, procedures, authority limits and legislative requirements. Apply strategic negotiation and communication skills to maximise recovery success and reduce outstanding debt. Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to team members to support continuous improvement. Analyse recovery trends and data to identify opportunities for process enhancements and improved outcomes. Undertake end-to-end recruitment and onboarding activities to build and strengthen team capability. What We’re Looking For: Demonstrated frontline experience in member service with a strong understanding of the motor vehicle claims and recoveries process. Proven leadership in managing recovery teams, with a focus on coaching, performance development, and driving results. Effective communication skills and attention to detail. Critical thinking and sound decision-making skills to assess liability, evaluate recovery potential, and resolve complex cases. Ability to build and influence relationships with a variety of stakeholders, internally and externally. Demonstrates empathy, compassion, resilience, tactful discretion and confidentiality when dealing with employees or members. A strong commitment to member-centric service, ensuring recovery efforts align with organisational values and deliver value back to members. What can we offer you?
