Our Client’s Burnaby office is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to lead and manage exciting building projects. You are a proactive leader who thrives on keeping projects on track, aligning teams, and delivering results. Your communication skills ensure all stakeholders — clients, consultants, and contractors — are well-informed. You can juggle multiple priorities and are eager to work on some of the most high-profile projects in the country. What You’ll Do
Develop system concepts, reports, and manage design budgets
Review existing installations and assess project impacts
Prepare calculations, select equipment, and guide design team
Ensure code compliance and communicate requirements
Coordinate drawings and documentation across disciplines
Manage project deliverables with a focus on quality and accuracy
Oversee contract administration tasks and ensure smooth project delivery
Monitor project schedules, hours, and critical milestones
Attend client meetings and deliver presentations
Maintain strong client relationships and support business goals
Requirements
What You Bring
4+ years of mechanical project engineering experience
P.Eng. (or ability to qualify within 1 year), or equivalent C.E.T.
Proficiency with Revit MEP, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks Manage, Dynamo
Knowledge of BC Building Code, Plumbing Code, Energy Step Code
High-rise tower construction experience is an asset
Strong understanding of ASHRAE, CSA, NFPA standards
Leadership skills and ability to manage multiple projects
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Experience coordinating with consultants and contractors
LEED certification or experience with sustainable design is an asset
