About the Job
We’re seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Specialist, Product Marketing to lead our market expansion efforts in the United States and Canada. This role is a critical bridge between product, marketing, and sales- and requires a unique combination of technical fluency, strategic thinking, and hands-on execution.
This is not a role for someone who operates solely at a high level or manages delegation. We are looking for a product marketing talent who actively engages with technical team leads, dives deep into complex energy and communication technologies, and helps shape the company’s go-to-market strategy based on real product understanding and industry insight.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to build trust and credibility across engineering, product development, sales, and customer stakeholders- translating technical features into real-world value for the North American Utility market.
Corinex offers a base salary up to $150,000 CAD annually, plus commission in accordance with Corinex’s Commission Plan for customer-facing roles, and additional performance-based incentives. Total compensation will be commensurate with experience, education, and performance.
Duties & Responsibilities
Lead market development for the North American Utility sector, identifying high-value segments, customer needs, and partnership opportunities.
Analyze Corinex’s suite of technologies and develop tailored, bundled solutions that address US- and Canada-specific market demands.
Engage directly with product managers and technical leads to gain and maintain deep working knowledge of Corinex’s BPL systems, software platforms, and architecture.
Participate in product planning and engineering discussions, providing customer and market insight while also absorbing technical direction and constraints.
Act as a strategic interface between Product, Marketing, and Sales- ensuring alignment on roadmap, messaging, and customer strategy.
Serve as a translator between technical features and customer-facing benefits, with the ability to simplify complexity without compromising technical integrity.
Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for North America, including positioning, messaging, and solution marketing materials.
Travel as needed (up to 40%) across the US, Canada, and select international markets to meet customers, attend industry events, and support sales efforts.
Build and maintain a strong network of ecosystem partners, vendors, and integrators to support solution delivery.
Gather market intelligence and customer feedback to inform Corinex’s product strategy and innovation priorities.
Support sales enablement through training, technical content development, and field support for key accounts and pilots.
Represent Corinex externally as a trusted advisor and thought partner, shaping perception and influencing buying decisions.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in product marketing, solution marketing, sales engineering, or strategic business development, ideally in the Utility, Smart Grid, Energy, or Cleantech sectors.
Proven ability to understand, learn, and explain complex systems- including both hardware and software components.
Comfortable working directly with engineering and product teams; able to contribute meaningfully to technical conversations and planning sessions.
Deep understanding of the US and Canadian Utility market landscapes, including regulatory, operational, and procurement dynamics.
Experience developing go-to-market strategies and bundling technical products into compelling customer solutions.
Strong communication, storytelling, and executive presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complexity for diverse audiences.
Demonstrated ability to build technical fluency quickly in dynamic environments- especially where formal documentation may be minimal or evolving.
Experience navigating and leveraging IT ecosystems, vendor alliances, and technology partnerships.
Willing and able to travel up to 40% across North America and internationally.
Strategic mindset with strong hands-on execution ability, comfortable with both high-level planning and tactical delivery.
Professionals with existing relationships in the Utility space and a record of technical product fluency are strongly encouraged to apply.
