Position Summary Group Managers are critical in shaping our portfolio’s future success. For those with a background in successful operational leadership, it offers an exciting new challenge – transitioning from managing operations to leading a group of businesses with a high degree of autonomy. This role provides the opportunity to mentor and coach the business leaders across your group, developing the portfolio leaders of tomorrow. In addition to leadership development, you will be at the forefront of strategic planning for the businesses within your group. Reporting to the Portfolio Manager, your focus will be on guiding and empowering business unit leaders and facilitating knowledge transfer to optimize the performance of those companies. Periodically, you may be expected to act as player-coach, requiring you to be more of a hands-on leader for a specific business (player) while overseeing the other business leaders (coach) in the group. The Group is part of the Luchetti Portfolio, which currently includes multiple business units across North America and Europe. Key Role Requirements Hire, develop, and retain energetic, engaging, and high-integrity business leaders that can deliver sustainable growth and profitability results. Develop & execute a strategic plan that enables the successful achievement of key goals for the Group and each individual business unit. Facilitate the sharing and adoption of Volaris best practices and learnings. Foster a team-oriented culture across the Group that is aligned with the broader Portfolio. Utilize cross functional resources (portfolio finance and HR) in support of efforts. Provide insight to the M&A business development teams related to desired and optimal transaction targets aligned to your group’s focused verticals. Oversee the integration of newly acquired business units within the Group. Responsibilities Manage delivery of agreed goals for the Group’s companies, ensuring all investments are meeting the expected Organic Growth, EBITA, and Internal Rate of Return (IRR) targets. Develop clear business plans, priorities, and forecasts, and ensure short-range forecasts (net revenue and EBITA) are delivered as expected. Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings to promote teamwork, align priorities, and strive for strong ongoing performance improvement and accuracy of forecasts. Drive quarterly review process of business performance ensuring businesses take timely action to address any issues identified. Regularly engage with Business Leaders to ensure their sales strategy is aligned to organic growth goals and sales channels are focused on generating the expected results. Evolve business processes and systems along with corresponding policies to ensure scalability, the availability of timely data to make the best business decisions, and to comply with regulations and corporate governance requirements. Participate in the ongoing improvement of the Portfolio’s talent management process to attract, develop, and retain talent. Continuously evaluate and evolve business unit succession plans. Maintain compliance with all Volaris policies. Support M&A transactions, including participating in management meetings, due diligence, and planning efforts for assigned M&A transactions. Experience and Qualifications 10+ years of experience as a CEO, Managing Director, General Manager, or an Operator overseeing multiple business units, with demonstrable success in improving growth and profitability. Business degree, MBA or equivalent preferred. Broad business acumen related to the growth and operations of software entities. Financial acumen and analytical skills in combination with strategic, action-oriented mindset. Strong assessor of talent and potential, especially for senior management roles, to support future growth and organizational design. Ability to work through/develop others to achieve key objectives and to inspire confidence. Well-versed in Talent Management and Development processes and procedures. Strong project management skills. Nimble, strategic thinker who is comfortable taking calculated business risks and remains resilient through business challenges. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to listen effectively and to communicate complex concepts concisely to drive organizational alignment and clarity. An ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle competing priorities effectively. Mergers & acquisitions experience is preferred. Current passport with the ability to travel domestically and internationally as required, based on business needs.
