To support our continued growth in the local market, we are seeking a results-oriented and experienced Shop Supervisor to lead our team under the direction of the Branch Manager!

Key Responsibilities
Shop Operations & Workflow Management
Oversee daily shop operations, ensuring workflow is maintained according to the production plan;
Assign tasks and monitor work quality to meet productivity and safety standards;
Make informed decisions and take corrective action to maintain effective shop performance;
Ensure all work is completed according to specifications, codes, and safety regulations;
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times;
Coordinate with the shipping and inventory teams to ensure all required parts are available on time for each build.
Quality Control & Build Completion
Collaborate with the Quality Control and Commissioning Lead Hand to ensure builds are completed;
Conduct post-build reviews and complete deficiency reports for management;
Ensure nothing is missed during the build and that everything functions per specifications.
Administrative & Documentation Responsibilities
Work with the Administrative Assistant to ensure all build-related paperwork is accurately entered (e.g., driveline sheets, hydraulic and electrical parts, labor tracking);
Assist the Branch Manager in creating and implementing new procedures for builds.
Team Leadership & People Management
Lead, coordinate, and motivate a team of technicians and lead hands to achieve high-performance outcomes and promote a positive work culture;
Communicate effectively with management, shop crew, and other departments;
Support troubleshooting activities, working hands-on with lead hands to resolve issues;
Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail across all tasks and responsibilities;
Provide daily oversight and direction to staff in alignment with the production schedule.
Profile
5 years minimum of experience as a supervisor in an equivalent role;
Any relevant degree in metalwork, operation management, supply chain or certified journeyman heavy equipment technician (an asset);
General knowledge in metalwork, electricity, hydraulic;
Proficient with Microsoft Office and knowledge of JD Edwards, an asset;
Strong diagnostic abilities, efficient shop operations management, and a commitment to high-quality service and safety standards;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical documentation;
Operational flow management, strong leadership, process oriented;Hands-on behavior.
