Join our team today!Job DescriptionThe Health Care Aide will report to the Clinical Services Manager. Under the direction/supervision of the clinical team, the successful candidate will perform direct patient care in addition to accommodation and support services.Accountabilities:Assisting patients with activities of daily living, repositioning, mobilization and transportOrdering suppliesDaily restocking of supplies in patient care rooms and supply storage areasMaintain and distribute departmental monitoring equipmentTransporting patient specimens to the pneumatic tubeContributing to the maintenance of a safe work environmentQualificationsRegistered with Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA)Personal Support Worker certificate required from an accredited institutionBasic knowledge of aseptic techniquesCurrent CPRRecent related experience working with geriatric and rehabilitation type populations requiredExperience collaborating with an inter-professional teamAbility to adjust patient care practices based on inter-professional recommendationsRecent experience working in a highly technical patient care environmentExcellent organizational and prioritization skillsExcellent interpersonal, communication and comprehension skillsFlexibility to meet unit needsAbility to work well with team membersBasic computer skills and knowledge of Meditech systemExcellent attendance, punctuality and work recordMust demonstrate Osler's Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation and CollaborationAbility to travel between and work at all Osler sites as requiredAble to handle the physical requirements of the job (ability to lift at least 25-30 lbs)Additional InformationCurrently Days/Evenings, 8/12 hours, including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)Salary:
