As a Software Development Engineer on Robotic Storage Technologies(RST)
solutions, you will be part of an exciting, diverse team that is responsible for
developing and deploying full-stack software systems using AWS that are
scalable, reliable and performant, is obsessed over its customers at its core
and its solutions impact thousands of users for every minute of their working
day! Our solutions are intuitive, inclusive, accessible and obsess over our
customers at their core and impact how Amazon’s fulfillment technologies will be
reimagined for years to come.
The mission of this team is to deliver production quality software at Amazon
scale with AI at the core. You will work cross-functionally to develop
pioneering applications in a highly exciting and innovative environment. As a
Software Development Engineer (SDE) on the team, you will own software
applications and systems that enable human and robotic fulfillment at scale. As
an SDE you will make meaningful impact on fast moving, next generation
fulfillment technologies by leading design and development efforts for critical
and complex systems spanning multiple software and hardware teams. Working
backwards from customer needs, you will identify the right technologies to
achieve high customer experience standards. You will coach and mentor other
engineers to foster a culture of relentless high-standards and will partner
cross-functionally to develop pioneering applications in a highly exciting and
innovative environment.
Key job responsibilities
A highly motivated and partnership focused candidate for this role will have a
strong track record for relentlessly high standards accomplished by building
efficient automation suites. They will be problem solvers who exercise high
judgement to help balance quality and strategic trade-offs to move quickly and
meet the needs of our customers. They will bring clarity to complexity and be
able to probe assumptions, inspect architectures and illuminate pitfalls with
data, all with the intent of providing a high confidence in product quality.
A day in the life
The CASPR (Configuration And State of Pods in Robotics) team inside RST owns Pod
Software - our team supports customers all over the world in fulfillment
centers, we help Amazon teams induct, transfer and troubleshoot pods.
