Job Summary: Supports Risk Management employees with their activities including administrative duties related to insurance renewals, enterprise risk management, and business continuity management. This role will work both closely with their manager with supervised activities and independently with other departments and functions. Responsibilities: Understanding the Business Develops agile methodology for developing, operating, and maintaining the systems used to deliver on risk management activities, taking into consideration the organizational resource constraints. In-depth understanding of the tools and systems used by the risk management department including for risk identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting; business impact analysis and continuity plans; corporate insurance program and renewals. Ability to understand the interaction and interdependencies between tools and other systems. Working Well with Others Works closely with Risk Management leadership and internal stakeholders to develop and operate the systems related to the Enterprise Risk Management, Business Continuity Management, and Corporate Insurance programs. Works closely with stakeholders of risk management activities across Corporate, TIC, and Standards to advance initiatives and gather outputs Works closely with the insurance broker to support renewals and policy management Supporting contact for the ERM, Insurance, and Business Continuity programs. Ability to interact in a respectful and professional manner. Regularly communicates with their direct manager. Supports and interacts with peers for specific tasks and activities. Delivering Results Organizes meetings as needed and communicates regularly with all stakeholders to track and update the progress of the project deliverables and tasks related to regular risk management activities and special initiatives. Communicates the schedule and deadline of deliverables to all stakeholders. Identifies and analyzes project management challenges (scope, resources, timing, training), resolves where applicable and escalates to management where applicable challenge conflicts. Corporate Insurance Support coordination and data gathering in the following areas: Renewal applications Presentation preparation Renewal delivery, payment, and evidence of insurance Insurance policy management Support process improvement initiatives. Business Continuity Management Support the gathering of business impact analysis and site risk assessments. Assist in scheduling of in-person and/or virtual meetings. Help with the delivery of tabletop exercises, note-taking and report preparation. Support the development of training and educational materials. Assist in the tracking and follow up of remediation items. Assist in preparation and maintenance of documentation. Support process improvement initiatives. Enterprise Risk Management Assist in the planning and delivery of risk identification workshops. Support maintenance of information on risks and controls within the ERM risk register using ERM software. Assist in risk monitoring activities including identifying changes to risks and controls, emerging trends, and development of new controls. Assist in the gathering of risk reporting information. Support the development of training and educational materials. Support process improvement initiatives. Concern for Safety Understands why HSE is important to self and the organization. Knows the potential hazards and necessary safeguards in own work area(s). Immediately reports hazards, near misses, incidents, observed unsafe acts and conditions. Demonstrates safe behavior and adherence to procedures. Completes all assigned training events. Education and Experience: 2 years post-secondary education in business administration, risk management, or other field relevant to CSA Group’s core business is required. Minimum 2 years experience Foundational knowledge around risk management is preferred. Experience in a field related to product safety certification or standards development is an asset. Project management experience is an asset. Proven to perform assigned tasks. Good organizational and project management skills Sound proficiency with software tools such as MS Office Suite, in particular PowerPoint, Excel, and Word Experience working with risk management information system (RMIS) software is an asset.
