Language fluency in French, Russian, or Mandarin required

This long-term, live-out position is ideal for an energetic, creative, and proactive educator who is fluent in French, Russian, or Mandarin, and passionate about early childhood learning through play, exploration, and hands-on experiences.
The family embraces alternative education philosophies such as Waldorf or Montessori, and is planning to homeschool. They’re seeking someone who can provide a nurturing, bilingual environment while introducing early academic and life skills in a fun and engaging way.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide loving, attentive care for both children throughout the day (meals, naps, hygiene, play, etc.).
Design and deliver a play-based, developmentally appropriate curriculum with a focus on creativity, critical thinking, and exploration.
Teach and communicate with the children exclusively in French, Russian, or Mandarin, fostering a natural bilingual learning environment.
Introduce early literacy in English and the second language, including reading and writing basics.
Integrate STEM concepts, nature-based activities, and arts and crafts into daily lessons and routines.
Encourage curiosity and self-led learning through both structured lessons and free exploration.
Collaborate closely with the parents to adjust learning plans as the children grow and their interests evolve.
Travel with the family as needed (approx. 8–12 weeks per year), incorporating cultural learning opportunities.
Keep children's areas tidy and organized; assist with clothing, meals, and overall daily routines.
What We’re Looking For:
Fluent in French, Russian, or Mandarin, with strong communication skills in English.
Experience working with children aged 2+, ideally in a homeschool, Waldorf, or Montessori-inspired environment.
Passionate about child development and creative teaching methods.
Strong interest—or openness to learning—in math, science, and engineering topics.
Enjoys spending time outdoors and integrating nature into the learning experience.
Energetic, organized, adaptable, and proactive.
Creative, hands-on, and resourceful—especially with arts and crafts.
Committed to open, honest communication and teamwork with the parents.
