The Canada Transportation Execution team is responsible for managing both
execution and strategic initiatives to expand last mile coverage across Urban,
Rural & Tier 3 MSAs of Canada, increase Sortable/Non Sortable capacity, reduce
cost to serve, improve 1D and 2D speed and increase connectivity. Additionally,
they will create and successfully execute working backwards plan for HVEs by
collaborating with cross functional teams. They are responsible and directly
contribute to Org goals like Speed, Capacity, DEA, Network Design, Capacity
Planning for Last Mile (1P AMZL and 3P, Intelcom, Canada Post, Purolator, ASL,
BNI, RDL) and managing overall Transportation Outbound Costs. In terms of
strategy, they will drive, replicate best practices for tech and non tech
initiatives from different marketplaces. They will also introduce initiatives
from industry/create new innovations needed in Last mile space.
We are looking for a Program Manager to join the team to manage day to day
execution and ensuring successful delivery. The Program Manager will handle
volume related escalations, managing variations in volume compared to planned
figures, overseeing Linehauls, and managing VAA operations. They will Monitor,
network share, and bridge performance metrics (DEA, volume share analysis,
capacity available vs plan) on a daily / weekly basis. This position will
coordinate with FC, ACES, NWD and TESS teams for any changes in network
design/connectivity and maintaining a seamless flow of information and
coordination among these teams to optimize network performance. They will submit
network changes which include CPT/lane changes, launches and configuration
(BAU).
This person will also provide recommendations, initiate and coordinate changes
by submitting approvals to FC, NWD, VAA, Speed, TORCH configuration requests, OB
scheduling requests, etc. This involves driving alignment and recommending
alternate solves if the proposed solution is declined across teams. These NWD
changes can be initiated by carrier managers / other upstream/downstream partner
teams.
Key job responsibilities
- Manage Day to Day execution, ensuring successful delivery. Requires driving
network optimization, executing configuration changes in partnership with Tess
and organizing scheduling by raising tickets.
- Use analytics, dashboards, Queries to deep dive and improve network share,
volume attainment, DEA and other performance metrics. Partner with right teams
to operationalize these projects.
- Partner with STP/MTP/LTP teams in potential expansions, launches,
deprecations.
- Set clear objectives for programs, leveraging data analytics to drive
improvements and achieve metrics.
- Navigate and resolve ambiguities in business scenarios, applying creative
problem-solving skills.
- Foster collaboration with internal and external partners to successfully plan
and deliver for HVEs
- Evaluate and prioritize projects in conjunction with impact and urgency
- Identify and mitigate risks, preventing them from escalating into major
issues.
- Regularly communicate with senior managers, business leaders, and other
stakeholders to support key business initiatives.
- Ensuring clear visibility of milestones and project performance.
- Manage and communicate project status effectively and timely.
- Create working backwards plan for HVEs and adhere to quality output and
timelines adherence.
- Provide right inputs for planning exercise and for planning documents
A day in the life
Execute OB network changes including: station launches, xdock expansion,
FSA/coverage expansions, station consolidation to improve network
efficiently/fill rate. Driving NWD alignments for CPT changes raised by
partners. Drive continuous process improvements, automation. Responsible for
precision and timely execution of all TESS configurations including torch, CMT
requests. Coordinating with ATS scheduling for scheduling. Deep diving to find
opportunities and defects in the network. Drive speed improvements through
optimizing CPTs/CETs. Managing transit time pads in addition to DEA bridging.
Deep diving carrier mix vs STP plans and bridging root causes. Leading
station/Holiday configuration/launches. Handling escalations including Jeff
B/ECR. Driving process improvements/automation/innovation.
