The Business Development Director will be an integral part of the Absence, Disability and Workers Compensation Solutions Business Development team, and participate in activities that lead to the overall success of line of business and support TELUS Health's broader corporate objectives. The Business Development Director, Absence, Disability and Workers Compensation will be responsible for generating revenue and achieving individual sales targets. Responsibilities: Develop and execute an individual business development plan for Absence, Disability and Workers Compensation Solutions Focus primarily on lead generation activities within the region to drive client activity and new opportunities Lead identified client opportunities (including RFI, RFPs) with support of broader team of subject matter experts and regional team leads Develop strategic relationships with key contacts from prospects and/or partners Drive up-selling and cross-selling activities within TELUS Health's broader book of business Demonstrate an ability to leverage resources and strategically manage the growth of customer relationships Support client strategies that bridge multiple line of business Participate fully in national sales campaigns and regional conferences Coordinate and participate in sales/marketing events, as required Succeeding as a Business Development Director, Absence, Disability and Workers Compensation will require the following core qualifications and skills: Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field is preferred, or equivalent work experience required Minimum 5-7+ years of progressive experience in business development, with a proven track record in lead generation and sales opportunity management Must have Industry related experience (absence and disability management, workers’ compensation, group benefits, occupational health, employee health and wellbeing programs) Strong business acumen and experience with client strategy development Proven experience developing business development plans Strong interpersonal skills coupled with excellent written and oral communication skills Proven organizational skills, professional maturity Time management skills combined with strategic thinking abilities related to priority management and multi-tasking in a fast-paced work environment #LifeAtTELUS #HiringNow #LI-Remote #LI-JG1 A bit about us We’re a people-focused, customer-first, purpose-driven team who works together every day to innovate and do good.
