Job Summary What is the opportunity? RBC Wealth Management is looking for a talented UX Designer Co-op and UX Research Co-op with an interest in growing their skills. Job Description What will you do? UX Design Shape the user experience from the earliest stages, ensuring the product will meet and exceed customer expectations Assist and potentially lead the ideation and user experience design of complex web and mobile solutions Create design assets including user journey maps, wireframes, process flows, interaction designs and interactive prototypes Consult with business stakeholders, technology and users in decision making surrounding user flows, sitemaps, layout, styling and technical feasibility Present wireframe mock-ups and proof of concepts to stakeholders to ensure their needs and expectations are met and sell the vision behind user experiences to key stakeholders UX Research Partner with several product teams to represent the user’s voice in product development Conduct Research: Support in conducting user research directly with users including observation, note taking and synthesis Research Analysis: Synthesize research insights into summaries, presentations and Journey Maps Participant & Panel Management: screen, recruit and schedule users for research studies; support the management and health of participant panels Knowledge Management: collaborate on the strategy to collect, store and share insights Tools: collaborate on tool’s strategy to enable process efficiency and quality research & feedback both for the research team and cross-functional teams. What do you need to succeed? Must Have Creative and analytical design thinker who is self-driven and capable of working in a fast-paced environment Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail Motivated to maintain and contribute to UX standards Skills in digital tools (Mural, Research tools, proficiency in Figma) Experience in qualitative research Currently enrolled at a Canadian post-secondary institution with a focus on Human Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Research, Social Science, Humanities or a related discipline Nice to have Financial industry knowledge or experience, specifically Wealth Management Experience with note taking and/or facilitating usability tests Experience organizing and/or facilitating Human Centered Design workshops Please note: In order to be eligible for these student positions, you must either: Be returning back to school after the work term end-date; or If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating immediately after the work term), you must require the full work term as a mandatory component in order to graduate successfully What’s in it for you?
