Sessional Instructor - SCIE 505 Science Co-operative Education I and II, Faculty of Science
The Faculty of Science invites applications for a Sessional Instructor to teach the following courses in the Fall 2025 and Winter 2026 term.
Science 505 Science Co-operative Education Courses:
Students enrolled in Science 505 Co-operative education courses complete four months of full-time supervised and employer paid work, and a series of online professional development and reflection modules.
Fall 2025
Winter 2026
The successful candidate will:
- Support all students in SCIE 505.01 and SCIE 505.02
- Create and submit Course Outlines by required deadlines.
- Grade and provide appropriate feedback on all required online assessments.
- Provide a minimum of 3 virtual contact hours per week to support students with the online course materials and ongoing learning in the SCIE 505 course.
- Create and facilitate curriculum discussions.
- Maintain active communication and relationships with Science Careers and Work Integrated Learning (WIL) team.
- Update/finalize grades and enter grades into PeopleSoft and Faculty Centre
- Identify possible updates for future course offerings.
Course Hours: 3 units (4 months)
Contract dates: Monday August 25, 2025 to Thursday April 30, 2026
Applicants will have:
- A graduate degree (MBA, MSc, DBA or PhD) or work experience in a relevant field is required.
- Prior experience delivering Work Integrated Learning courses.
- Knowledge of Professional Skills or Career Development
