Our client, a leading organization in the food and beverage manufacturing sector, is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Maintenance Millwright to join their operations team. This is a hands-on role that involves maintaining and troubleshooting production equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment
Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
Adhere strictly to safety protocols and company policies
Complete documentation such as work orders, permits, and parts requisitions
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Participate in team initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
Work in both indoor and outdoor environments as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Ontario or Inter-Provincial 433A Millwright Certificate (Full License) – Mandatory
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Must be at least 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic computer skills
Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written)
Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs, climbing ladders, kneeling, and working in elevated areas (4 ft+)
Willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and alternate shifts with prior notice
Comfortable working in environments with heat, cold, dust, noise, etc., using provided PPE
Able to perform maintenance trades including electrical, machinist, welding, pipe fitting, and fabrication, rigging systems, gearbox and bearing, maintenance, lubrication, pumps and piping systems
Experience with MRO (Maintenance Repair Operations) and/or MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems is an asset
