Hiring Unit: Office of Science Education, Faculty of Science Position Summary: Under the direction of the Student Engagement and Learning Manager, the Peer Collaboration Assistant - Team Lead will ensure the smooth operation of the collaborative learning space. Duties Take on at least one three-hour Peer Collaboration shift per week throughout the academic year. Set-up and take-down materials in the space. Greet and welcome attendees. Provide general information regarding SciLearn programming and take attendance using an automated scanner. Troubleshoot or raise any issues to the immediate supervisor. Take inventory of supplies and manage replenishing throughout the term. Ensure the space is adequately cleaned and maintained. Consolidate attendance data. Contribute to program documentation as appropriate. Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities Current McGill undergraduate student; preferable in Science Previous experience as a Peer Collaboration Assistant. Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365. Ability to work independently. Additional information: Each shift will be 3 hours (2:30 to 5:30); therefore, students must be available for this time slot Start date of position will be sometime in August but is flexible Location: This position is located in Montreal, Quebec and the work for this position is expected to be performed in Quebec.
