Our Station Operations West Office is looking for a Contract Full-Time Plant Utility Person to ensure GO Transit facilities, grounds, and plant equipment operate, and are maintained in a safe and effective manner.
What will I be doing?
Carries out remedial and programmed maintenance and repair including painting, fencing, carpentry, glazing, grounds-keeping, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC servicing, civil and structural work.
Prepares record for the supervisor relative to work accomplished, deficiencies noted, vehicle, equipment, and material usage.
Operates and maintains vehicles, equipment, and assigned tools.
Carries out the construction/installation of temporary and permanent fixtures.
Carries out emergency measures resulting from environmental accidents.
Performs snow and ice control services, utilizing de-icers, snow removal tools, equipment and materials.
Oversees the work of other staff and contractors.
