Job Description Requirements > Three years of Experience in nutritional care and the administrative management of a unionized department in long care setting is desirable. > Must have strong supervisory and organizational skills and excellent communication skills. > Must have current CSNM qualification Key Responsibilities: > Responsible for the selection and orientation, supervision and evaluation of dietary hourly staff. > Responsible for the operation of the dietary services including financial management, procurement, preparation and service of food. > Supervises the preparation and service of resident meals and refreshments following specified menus and standardized recipes. > Ensures conformance with all legislative and regulatory requirements pertaining to the Dietary Department. > Responsible for purchasing, receiving, storing and controlling all departmental supplies. > Ensures maintenance of operational records such as menu changes, food temperatures and refrigerator and freezer temperatures as required by Dietary policy and procedure manual guidelines. > Participates in team conferences to plan, develop and assess individual resident care plans. > Participates in the development of the departmental annual operating budget and ensures operation within approved parameters.
