Our BFM Transformation, Planning & Systems office is seeking a Planning Analyst – Systems & Maintenance to conduct thorough analyses and leverage data-driven insights for crafting precise forecasts and capacity plans in the Bus Fleet Maintenance department. Analyzes historical data and current trends to predict future maintenance requirements to help plan seamless fleet availability and operational efficiency. Includes pinpointing the optimal equilibrium between maintenance demands and resource availability (personnel, equipment, and materials).
What will I be doing?
Generate and analyze Work Orders for organizational assets, addressing findings, functional failures, and improvements.
Identify and analyze deviations in process indicators, implementing necessary alerts and corrections for control
Provide regular updates and, if requested, feedback on the fulfillment of activities outlined in the maintenance plan, based on generated consumption.
Translates high-level, conceptual business strategies and objectives into user-requirements to guide service development activities
Identifies and facilitates development of documentation for new and modified business policies and procedures (e.g. standard operating procedures (SOPs) and workflows) to ensure effective implementation of technology solutions
Ensures that quality standards are adhered to during the development and implementation of projects; recommends solutions and improvements to business processes on behalf of management
Liaises with team members and stakeholders to discuss issues and recommend corrective actions
Regularly update and analyze Maintenance Planning process indicators, ensuring continuous monitoring and control over process variables.
Interacts and/or works with cross functional teams, and stakeholders to progress projects and initiatives, manages distribution of information, provides updates and utilizes influencing skills to achieve desired outcomes
Develops, maintains, and continually improves communication standards and tools, while incorporating best practices
Guides and influences others in performance of their day-to-day activities, without direct supervisory responsibility
What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need?
Completion of a relevant bachelor’s degree, an engineering technologist diploma OR a certified trade with a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent, may be considered.
Demonstrated years of progressively responsible industrial, railway maintenance or bus maintenance experience is required
CET, Certificate of Qualification or the ability to obtain within 12 months of hire considered an asset
Demonstrated expertise in work order management systems, database management, data mining and analytics, Prior use of Maintenance Management Systems: High level of familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems, like Hexagon(Infor), Maximo, SAP PM, or similar.
Excellent relationship management, consultation, and oral/written communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerBi, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)
Prior experience in industrial maintenance and scheduling best practices
