Fabrication, characterization and properties of powders. Powder consolidation techniques. Sintering and densification mechanisms. Properties of porous compacts. Design of fabrication process. Particularities and classification of ceramic systems. Teaching Qualification Requirements: Education: Graduate level training in the field of powder processing and powder metallurgy with PhD preferred. PhD student can be considered. Candidates with knowledge in the field can also be considered. Experience: Have passed MIME465 or MIME665 or an equivalent powder course at another institution; Teaching experience and/or hands-on research experience in the field of powder metallurgy preferred.
