What You'll Do: Accounting operations Accountable for the accounting operations for PCF&S which includes the President’s Choice Mastercard, President’s Choice Money Account, The Mobile Shop, President’s Choice Insurance and gift card lines of businesses Responsible for the monthly financial close and financial reporting to senior stakeholders of PCF&S Accountable for the general ledger and the settlement and reconciliation processes Collaborate and support the business by analyzing business transactions and performance, and ensuring the appropriate accounting treatment for complex transactions are applied Responsible for the accounts payable function and completion of various regulatory submissions Financial control environment Responsible for the development, testing, compliance and the continuous assessment of the accounting operations internal control policies and procedures Champion and lead continuous improvement initiatives in the accounting operations process for PCF&S as well as the broader enterprise where applicable through thought leadership and collaboration Lead the assessment and improvement in the internal control environment collaborating with the Assurance Advisory and Enterprise Risk Management teams and provide support for the external audit process Champion colleague development Responsible for the development of a team of professionals through mentoring and identifying training opportunities Responsible for the development and execution of the team’s strategic objectives and support the enterprise in achieving its strategic objectives Champion and instill the enterprise’s core values to colleagues What You Bring: CPA accounting designation Minimum of 8 years of experience in finance and accounting or similar role Experience in the assessment of the internal control environment and recommend solutions to mitigate control weaknesses Proven track record of handling multiple timelines within a matrix organization Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments and across companies Proven ability to problem solve, deal with uncertainty, adapt to change and drive difficult tasks to completion Excellent oral and written communication skills Leadership experience with the ability to build, lead and mentor a high performing team Come and join a winning team who demonstrates innovation, energy, creativity and vision.
