Big Beach Lounge at Black Rock Oceanfront Resort is looking for a Bar Back to keep things flowing behind the scenes. This is a vital support role that helps our bartenders and servers deliver top-notch service while keeping the lounge clean, stocked, and running smoothly.
Set against the stunning coastal backdrop of Ucluelet, BC, this is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys staying active, and takes pride in being an essential part of a strong service team.

Key responsibilities include:
Restocking glassware, garnishes, bar tools, and supplies throughout service
Clearing and sanitizing tables, bar tops, and service stations
Supporting bartenders and servers with bar prep, table resets, and guest needs
Assisting with basic drink prep and running food when needed
Removing empty glassware and dishware and transporting to dish area
Maintaining cleanliness in the bar and lounge area at all times
Upholding safety and hygiene standards in accordance with resort policies
This role is physically active and requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, walk and stand for long periods, and stay on top of multiple priorities. A can-do attitude and a willingness to jump in wherever needed are key.
Additional qualifications:
Fluency in spoken and written English
Good grooming and hygiene habits
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Must meet minimum legal age to serve alcohol in BC
Previous experience in hospitality or food and beverage is an asset but not required
Please note: Due to limited availability, staff accommodation is not available for this position. Candidates must already hold a valid Canadian work permit or be eligible to work in Canada.
