We’re looking for a friendly, organized, and upbeat Host to be the first point of contact for guests dining at Black Rock Oceanfront Resort’s signature restaurant in Ucluelet, BC. This is more than a greeting role; our Hosts help set the tone for a memorable dining experience and keep things running smoothly in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

Brings a warm and professional approach to welcoming guests
Enjoys connecting with people and creating a positive first impression
Has strong communication skills and can juggle in-person greetings, phone calls, and reservation systems with ease
Stays calm and friendly under pressure, even when it gets busy
Works well with both the service team and the kitchen to ensure a seamless flow of guests
Has an eye for cleanliness and helps maintain the appearance of the dining room between seatings
Key responsibilities include:
Greeting and seating guests in a welcoming and timely manner
Answering phones, responding to guest inquiries, and managing reservations
Informing guests of daily specials and coordinating with the service team
Clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables as needed
Supporting cleanliness and organizational standards throughout the shift
Following all health, safety, and hygiene protocols
Supporting teammates and jumping in where needed to keep service running smoothly
This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to grow their skills in hospitality while working alongside a dedicated team in a spectacular coastal setting.
Additional qualifications:
Fluency in English (spoken and written); other languages an asset
Good grooming and hygiene habits to reflect our professional image
Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Previous experience in food & beverage or hospitality is an asset, but not required
