Black Rock Oceanfront Resort is looking for a friendly and attentive Breakfast Server to join our Food & Beverage team at Currents. Set against the stunning backdrop of Ucluelet’s wild coastline, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys early shifts, creating warm guest experiences, and being part of a professional, team-focused service environment.
As a Breakfast Server, you’ll be among the first to greet our guests each day, helping to set the tone for their entire resort stay. If you take pride in delivering thoughtful service and have a natural sense of hospitality, we’d love to hear from you.

Enjoys providing friendly and efficient service in a calm, polished setting
Has strong communication skills and works well as part of a team
Pays close attention to detail, from presentation to timing to guest preferences
Can stay organized in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tables smoothly
Is knowledgeable about food and beverages and comfortable making recommendations
Key responsibilities include:
Providing welcoming, attentive service to guests from arrival through to payment
Accurately taking orders and delivering food and beverages in a timely manner
Making recommendations and upselling thoughtfully to enhance the guest experience
Communicating with the Culinary and Front of House teams to ensure quality and timing
Handling cash, credit, and room charges with accuracy and integrity
Keeping the dining room tidy and presentable at all times
Completing side duties and cleaning tasks to help open and reset the space
Following responsible beverage service and food safety guidelines
Sharing information about resort amenities, local highlights, and nearby attractions
Requirements:
A strong commitment to guest satisfaction and a professional appearance
Previous experience as a server is preferred
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
A flexible schedule, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
Ability to stand and move for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
Current Serving It Right certification or willingness to obtain
Fluency in English (spoken and written); other languages an asset
