Join our team today!Job DescriptionUnder the direction of the Business Manager, Surgical Program, the Surgical Supply Chain Technician will have delegated authority for the purchasing of goods, services, minor and capital equipment in the most efficient and cost effective manner consistent with user needs and in compliance with hospital policies.Accountabilities:Coordinate all clinical and non-clinical supply ordering and receivingProvide back up to other staff as neededQualificationsDiploma/certification in related supply chain management or/and quality/auditing field requiredMedical terminology course required or previous working experience in hospital/health care organizationMinimum of two years experience working within a supply chain environmentMinimum of three years inventory management experience preferredWorking knowledge of surgical proceduresWorking knowledge of surgical instrumentation (mandatory)Working knowledge of implant inventory is an assetKnowledge of contractsWorking knowledge and experience of adjusting par levels preferredWorking knowledge of OR Manager programWorking knowledge of rectifying PO's and FinanceDemonstrated knowledge of medical/surgical supplies and equipmentExcellent communication skills both oral and writtenDemonstrated Microsoft Office including minimum intermediate Excel skills and handheld barcode technologyPhysical requirement involving heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending and reachingAbility to deal with high activity with frequent interruptionsDemonstrated skills in analysis, statistical record keeping and report writingAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamExcellent attendance and work recordAbility to work and travel between all Osler sitesMust demonstrate Osler Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation and CollaborationAdditional InformationHours: Currently Days 8 hour shifts including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)Salary:
