What you'll do:
The Superintendent, Community Paramedics is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation and the direct oversight of Community Paramedicine programs to address service and community needs; including program analysis and program improvement recommendations; ensuring responsive service delivery; overseeing the achievement of research and community paramedicine program objectives; supporting program and budget development; control of expenditures; continuous quality improvement and risk management for assigned programs in accordance with applicable legislation, policies, guidelines, standards and directives. The Superintendent reports to the Commander, Community Programs.
Community Paramedicine Innovation: Manage the planning, implementation, and evaluation of community paramedicine programs ensuring services meet legislative standards, client needs, and organizational goals. Use performance metrics to track program impact and identify future gaps through data-driven analysis and strategic insight.
Quality & Service Excellence: Oversee quality assurance initiatives, continuously improving program outcomes and compliance with policies, guidelines, and regulations. Working with the Professional Standards Department, implement process improvements and monitor service delivery effectiveness.
Lead with Purpose & Professionalism: Provide hands-on leadership and supervision to paramedics promoting clinical excellence, staff well-being, and workplace safety.
Community Engagement: Represent the program through presentations, outreach, and collaborative initiatives with healthcare providers, community partners, and allied agencies.
In accordance with County Policy, a Vulnerable Sector Police Check that is acceptable to the County will be required as a condition of employment.

This job is for you if…
Our non-negotiables: You have post secondary education in paramedicine or related field.
Experience: You have significant experience in the Provincial ambulance system, gained by working as a Primary Care or Advanced Care Paramedic, along with Supervisory experience in EMS, preferably within Community Paramedicine.
Certifications: Maintains certification to be employed as a paramedic in Ontario in accordance with the Ambulance Act, including certification as EMCA or AEMCA. Must have Valid "F" Class License.
Analytical Thinking & Problem Solving: Demonstrated experience using legislation, policy, and data to analyze situations, interpret regulations, and make sound, client-centered decisions.
Communication: Ability to deliver impactful written and verbal communication to engage, inform, and inspire diverse internal and external audiences.
Leadership: Proven leadership experience from health or social service settings, driving team performance while supporting professional growth and accountability.
