We’re looking for a talented 3D Shot Finaling Artist to join our award winning, internationally acclaimed hit series, Paw Patrol for a short-term contract.
Responsibilities:
Fix unwanted artifacts in shots coming out of Animation (e.g. floating, intersections, tangents) as well as kickbacks from downstream departments
Address minor modeling and surfacing issues in Houdini-based assets
Address minor grooming issues (fur, foliage, feathers)
Troubleshoot technical issues as they arise
Publish QC'd shots from Animation into Lighting
Maintain continuity between shots to keep a continuous flow throughout episodes
Use Shotgrid to track shots coming in to and going out of the Finaling department
Qualifications:
Previous Finaling experience
Houdini/USD experience
Minimum 5 years of production experience in animated series
Ability to take direction and adapt to change
Generalist experience is a major asset
Experience with the production process from Layout through Compositing is an asset
Knowledge of Python is preferred
CFX experience is an asset but not necessary
