About Us
Hendriks Greenhouses is a family-owned greenhouse business rooted in quality, innovation, and customer commitment. Based in Beamsville, Ontario, we grow and distribute premium floral products for retail and wholesale customers across Canada and the U.S. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a driven and experienced Sales Manager to lead our Sales Department and help shape the future of our customer partnerships.
Position Summary
The Sales Manager is responsible for the overall direction and performance of the Sales Department. This hands-on leadership role involves driving sales strategy, managing customer relationships, mentoring a cross-functional team, and ensuring operational alignment with company goals. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented leader with strong communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support the sales team to achieve revenue and growth targets.
Develop and execute sales strategies to expand market share and customer reach.
Establish performance goals and provide coaching, feedback, and development opportunities to team members.
Manage key customer accounts and support the team in building long-term, trusted partnerships.
Forecast sales performance and track progress against goals.
Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., production, logistics, finance) to ensure customer expectations are met.
Analyze sales trends, market shifts, and customer feedback to guide business decisions.
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer visits.
Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen the sales function.
Qualifications
5+ years of sales experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Greenhouse, horticulture, or agriculture experience is a strong asset.
Proven ability to coach and develop high-performing teams.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; CRM experience preferred.
Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Willingness to travel across Canada and the U.S. as needed.
