Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of Full-Time Lead Carpenter at our Homes by Lake Country site in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. We are looking for an energetic and motivated Red Seal Journeyperson Carpenter with residential framing experience to lead a team framing new homes.

Reporting to the Homes by Lake Country Site Team Leader, responsibilities for this position include the following:
• Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach.
• Provide Legendary Service at all touch points through various communication channels.
• Lead carpenters and laborers, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring work is completed according to project specifications.
• Assist with creating timelines and schedules, manage materials and resources, and ensure projects stay within budget.
• Train and mentor apprentices providing guidance and support.
• Communicate effectively with project management.
• Support and follow Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, and procedures.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Home & Building Products and Carpentry:
• You have your high school diploma or equivalent and your Carpentry Red Seal Journeyperson certification.
• You have knowledge of job site safety rules and regulations (Occupational Health & Safety).
• You have an eye for quality control/assurance and safety from start to finish.
• You are able to read and interpret blueprints and have knowledge of building codes and regulations.
• You have experience coaching, mentoring, developing, and leading a team.
• You are able to identify and resolve construction issues effectively.
• You work well under pressure and are savvy with balancing and meeting project deadlines on budget.
• You are honest and trustworthy, are results- oriented, and are proud of the work that you do.
• You are well organized and capable of attaining a high level of production, with a minimum amount of supervision.
• You have the ability to fulfil physical job requirements typical to the construction industry; including the ability to lift, hold, and carry heavy weight.
• You have knowledge of methods, tools and equipment used in carpentry.
• You are willing and able to obtain the required safety tickets: First Aid, Fall Protection, Aerial Lift, and Telehandler.
• You carry a valid driver’s license (class 5 minimum); you are available for intermittent day and overnight travel when required.
• You have a flexible work schedule including weekends.
