As a Fireplace Service Technician, you will serve as the key contact for customers undertaking residential or commercial fireplace installations. This role is responsible for the professional installation, maintenance, and repair of fireplace units and related components. What You Will Do:
• Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach.
• Provide Legendary Service at all touch points through various communication channels.
• Collaborate with the Homes by Lake Country sales team to conduct seamless fireplace installations and maintenance.
• Install new fireplace systems (gas, wood and pellet) according to manufacturer specifications, local codes and company standards.
• Service and repair existing fireplace units, including venting systems, controls, and safety devices.
• Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical or operational issues efficiently.
• Ensure all installations and repairs meet code requirements and manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and customer interactions.
• Educate customers on proper use and maintenance of their fireplace system.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of parts/materials.
• Stay current on new fireplace models, technologies, and building code changes.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
• Adhere to the Safety Management and Asset Protection systems, policies, procedures, records, and training requirements.

Who You Will Work With: Reporting to the Homes by Lake Country Site Team Leader, you will work closely with a variety of internal and external partners to ensure a successful customer experience and project execution. This role is highly collaborative and requires effective communication, teamwork, and organizational skills to support both customer satisfaction and internal efficiency.

Who You Are:
You are looking for a technician opportunity in the Home and Building industry and:
• You have a high school diploma or equivalent; experience in fireplace installations, plumbing, or gas fitting is preferred.
• You have knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment used in carpentry and specialization in fireplace installations and maintenance.
• You have a strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures related to fireplace installation and maintenance.
• You are well organized, can work independently, and demonstrate strong organization and problem-solving skills.
• You are willing and able to obtain your Wood Energy Technology Transfer (WETT) Certification; training will be provided to successful applicant.
• You work well under pressure and are savvy with balancing and meeting multiple strict deadlines.
• You have strong oral and written communication skills and communicate effectively using multiple communication channels.
• You are attentive to detail and hold precision and accuracy as core values.
• You have a strong mechanical aptitude and are comfortable using hand, diagnostic and power tools.
• You are able to identify and solve complex problems effectively.
• You are available to work a flexible schedule; some evenings and weekends and overnights may be required.
• You must be able to perform the physical tasks common to the construction industry, including heavy lifting, working at heights and in confined and dusty spaces in various weather conditions.
• You carry a valid driver’s license (class 5 minimum) for regular day travel.
