Responsibilities
Cleans all dishes, pots, and inserts.
Keeps dish area clean and neat and tidy.
Maintain kitchen/dining room cleaning to excellent standards.
Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling and chopping vegetables.
Help with setting up and organizing kitchen station for food preparation.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Assist with setting up and cleaning up after events or large orders.
Know, understand, and practice Emergency Procedures and Policies.
Responsible for ensuring that a safe and sanitary environment is provided
for staff and residents; makes efforts to reduce safety hazards, accidents
and injuries.
Report of any deficiencies in the kitchen to your immediate supervisor

Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
Food Safe Certificate an asset.
Previous experience in foodservice facilities considered an asset.
Demonstrates an awareness of accident and injury prevention; adheres to safe work practices and procedures; and is responsible for maintaining self-wellness and reduced absenteeism
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to set priorities, re-adjust routines and deal with repetitive activities.
Ability to organize duties with minimal supervision.
Demonstrates solid observational skills and problem solving abilities.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time, bend, squat, kneel and lift over 20 pounds.
