The opportunity
Our client, a private-equity organization undergoing dynamic transformation, is seeking a strategic and analytically minded Senior HR Business Partner to support its next stage of growth. Reporting to a visionary Head of People and Culture, you will work closely with the executive team and senior leaders to build, drive, and deliver high-impact people strategies in an environment where the blueprint is still being written.
This is a build-as-you-go role where you will help shape the future People and Culture partner model, drive real-time insights from raw data, and provide critical guidance to a highly engaged group of Directors and Executives. As a resilient, intellectually curious HR professional who can earn trust and build strategy, you are ready to meet the challenges, execute with finesse and tact, and get things done.
This is a hybrid role working 2-3 days per week in their Brampton head office.
Why this role? It offers you:
An impactful partnership with leadership. You will work alongside passionate, involved leaders and have direct access to senior executives and decision-makers. You will be involved in strategic conversations, help shape decisions, and push leaders to become better people managers.
A chance to build. This is not a maintenance role. You will shape and execute people strategies during a critical period of transformation. You will have the opportunity to try new ideas, pivot based on response, and make your mark, contributing to the foundation of a people and culture team that cares.
Exposure to elevate and accelerate your career. The depth and breadth of this role will provide experience, visibility, and the kind of learning and ownership you do not typically get outside of consulting or founder-led organizations.
As the new Senior HR Business Partner, you will:
Navigate change with confidence. You will lead high-impact People and Culture initiatives, manage change, and guide leaders through execution and post-project review. You will need to “sell” the value and bring others on the journey.
Contribute to transformation. This is a business evolving through 2026. You will play a key role in supporting that evolution with an eye toward scalable systems, performance, and people readiness.
Build deep, consultative partnerships. You will act as a trusted advisor to a group of sophisticated and curious Directors, helping them navigate the full spectrum of talent management with clarity, confidence, and discipline.
Design and deliver end-to-end talent strategies. From workforce planning to performance and succession, you will take raw Excel data, extract meaningful insights, and translate them into action that elevates their people practices.
Leverage technology and analytics. You will identify gaps and apply best practices to build fit-for-purpose solutions from scratch. You will not wait for structure; you will create it. From vacation tracking to generating dashboards, you will use tools and systems to create a streamlined, data-driven HR environment.
What you bring:
The consulting approach. You are focused on building and fostering positive and rewarding relationships with your internal clients. You have Strong business and financial acumen, and the ability to speak the language of Directors and Executives. You can dissect a problem, crunch the numbers, ask intelligent questions, and design and execute a plan.
A talent for navigating ambiguity. You have proven experience working in an environment without a lot of existing HR structure—ideally in consulting, a high-growth company, or a business undergoing transformation. You are resourceful, decisive, and can design processes when none exist.
The professionalism. You bring confidence, gravitas, and exceptional presentation skills. You have a collaborative mindset, and you are comfortable both offering guidance and being challenged. You can lead conversations, ask the right questions, and provide clear recommendations.
The analytics. You are data-driven and can use Excel and other tools to enter, extract, analyze, and generate insights from raw data related to headcount, performance, engagement, and hiring.
The desire to grow quickly. This is a role where you will get exposure to the Executive Leadership Team, have direct connections with their parent company, and receive mentorship from high-calibre leaders.
If you are a thoughtful business partner who thrives in ambiguity, knows how to challenge leaders constructively, and has the ability to implement structure where none exists, this is a rare opportunity to take ownership and make a tangible mark.
