Reporting to the Director, Manufacturing Process, the Manager, Electronics Manufacturing Engineering will play a key part in driving and leading operational improvements, maintaining the operational gains achieved through continuous improvement, and in accelerating continuous improvement and New Product Introduction projects. Leading the technical team supporting our electronics manufacturing, they are responsible for ensuring the factory is technically capable of on-time, on-cost, on-quality delivery of printed circuit board assemblies that are assembled into functional product. They will engage cross-functionally with downstream internal customers focused on the daily productivity, quality, and capacity improvement activities required to sustain rapid growth and support new products, and will work with design disciplines to work towards standardizing designs, component selections and final approval on panelization layouts to improve manufacturability. The Manager, Electronics Manufacturing Engineering, is a leader who looks for opportunities to implement new software, new processes or new methodology to ensure Blackline Safety is working towards a world class status

Responsibilities
Manage and develop cross-functional team responsible for printed circuit board assembly manufacturing capacity, yield, and productivity, and act as a champion for continuous improvement activities
Manage uptime, optimization, and process development of equipment used to manufactured printed circuit assemblies and drive KPI improvement
Drive manufacturability requirements and reviews with Product Development to ensure best-cost, best-quality designs are released
Lead initiatives to bring in new technologies and oversee capital projects to deliver gains in productivity, capacity, efficiency, and quality
Support manufacturing readiness and required technical staffing needs for new product introduction launches
Engage with Product Development, Quality, and other disciplines to ensure root-cause analyses and resolution of issues in product or process are completed
Drive standardization and improvement in manufacturing software and equipment
Manage development of documentation, procedures, and processes to standardize and improve manufacturing operations, and champion development of change management structure
Create new organizational structures and policies to develop organizational maturity and support organizational development initiatives
Required skills
Exceptional understanding of modern circuit board assembly and population methodologies
Extensive knowledge of modern electronics manufacturing best practices and standards (IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, IPC-2221 series, IPC-4101 series, etc)
Proven success in leadership roles in manufacturing process development and operations project management
Thorough knowledge of electronics and assembly industry best-practices
Ability to rapidly prioritize and balance conflicting priorities
Exceptional ability to communicate in English, verbally and in writing
Demonstrated success leading Lean Manufacturing kaizen projects delivering significant operational gains
Six Sigma accreditation and the ability to mentor others in effective use of these tools and best practices
Data acquisition and analysis experience using databases is an asset
