Reporting to the Manager OTC Derivatives, Business Operations, the Senior Specialist, OTC Derivatives, will be accountable for ensuring complete and timely processing of all Total Return Swap (TRS) workflows. This role also supports CDCC Clearing Members in areas such as: ? Member Clearing Services including management of the CDCC Collateral Web Portal; ? Clearing & Settlement of TRS Transactions and Collateral Management; ? Corporate Actions event management & execution; ? Banking, Custodian and Third party settlement including end of day and final settlements with payment processing; This role is a subject matter expert in the Clearing & Settlement of Derivative products with emphasis on Total Return Swaps. Furthermore, the role is responsible for ensuring the continued and enhanced client satisfaction throughout the CDCC North American Clearing Session. Key Accountabilities : Act as the primary escalation point for all matters related to Collateral, Banking, Clearing, Settlements and Corporate Actions ensuring effective and efficient client support is provided to all Clearing Members for TRS Transactions; Manage and maintain Collateral and Concentration Requirements, including the collection of collateral to satisfy the Intra-day & End-of-day Margin calls via securities pledge or cash, and overseeing the timely flow of funds to/from CDCC; Ensure timely completion of the payment processing and settlements including end of Day obligations; Ensure TRS Clearing Members meet their trade settlement obligations; Verify daily Cash Reconciliation of the various securities and cash accounts with CDCC Settlement Banks, Custodians and Triparties; Collaborate and partner with internal and external auditors, regulators, technology teams, client services, and risk management to ensure compliance and effective issue resolution; Ensure strict adherence to internal procedures, rules, audit requirements and internal controls verification processes; Serve as the primary delegate for the Manager, OTC Derivatives, on the CDCC Corporate Actions Committee; Proactively identify and recommend changes to existing processes, services and procedures to enhance customer service, and operational efficiency; Support and participate in the Business Continuity Program, Disaster Recovery Program, Default Simulation and other testing exercises to ensure operational resilience; Contribute to strategic projects, including regulatory change implementation and system upgrades. Must haves: Post-Secondary education in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, and/or Accounting is preferred Minimum of 8+ years’ experience in the Securities Financial Industry In-depth, expert-level knowledge of the end-to-end TRS trade lifecycle Advanced level of technical and analytical knowledge regarding Derivatives, Corporate Actions, Collateral, Banking and Clearing/Settlements processes, systems and capabilities Extensive experience with industry platforms such as CDS, DTCC, SWIFT, etc Solid interpersonal and organization skills with the demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Strong attention to detail with a proven ability to deliver accurate, clear, and concise information in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to confidently articulate complex issues to senior stakeholders. Flexibility required to work in a time sensitive environment with tight deadlines Nice to haves: Proficiency with S&P Corporate Actions system, Google Suite, Excel and other desktop applications Proven track record of successfully identifying and implementing process improvements Note: Hybrid role requiring in office presence 2-3 days/week The candidate must be available to work a 7.5-hour rotating shift performed between 8:00 a.m. and 6 p.m. from Monday to Friday.
