Hybrid schedule - 3 days in office The Pursuit Manager leads and manages proposals through the full lifecycle, ensuring that proposals are completed in an efficient, consistent and professional manner. This will often involve liaising with our other Canadian and global offices. This role will act as an advocate of best practice and a specialist information resource and will work with fee earners across the practice areas and sectors to ensure we are leveraging our experience and capabilities and responding to clients in a consistent manner. You will be focussing on Manage and lead the entire pursuit process for major opportunities arising from priority key clients and new business opportunities. Obtain scope of proposal from lawyers, draft, edit and proof, including challenge to thinking and obtaining sign off for submission in accordance with protocols, corporate standards and best practice. Develop and manage relationships and work collaboratively with practice areas and sector teams. Recommend and apply appropriate structure and presentation to ensure consistent response to clients. Preliminary bid preparation, credentials collection and standard content management. Create, source and develop high-quality materials for use in proposals as standard pitch content Research and review relevant market, industry, competitive, and business information for the preparation of successful pitches. Review on an ongoing basis proposal templates and content to ensure best practice is benchmarked against competitor activity and proposal feedback. Monitor use of standard proposal templates and forms, preserving global brand guidelines. Provide presentation coaching support for lawyers. Assist global offices on global proposals involving Canada. Conduct debriefs and analyses of feedback on our performance on proposals, whether won or lost, and use this intelligence to improve the quality of future proposals. Support directory and award submissions and matter collection efforts. Update and maintain the proposal tracking system, precedents and standard materials. Ensure finalized proposal content is distributed to appropriate mediums (e.g. matter database, standard material, website, etc.) and stakeholders in a timely manner. Assist with frequent reporting (weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly) including strategic management reports. What you bring to the role Bachelor’s or recognized technical college degree in marketing or business is an asset. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a marketing, business development or related role. A self-starter who can work on their own initiative and is proactive in developing ideas and solutions. Experience working in the proposals function, or similar experience, preferably in a legal services firm. Strong research and writing skills, as well as superior proofreading skills and attention to detail. Proven creative and layout design skills. Advanced IT skills including advanced Word and Microsoft Office packages Strong project management skills and the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities Must be able to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Positive attitude and enthusiasm. Ability to liaise confidently and build relationships with people at all levels. Vancouver Salary: $84,665 - $120,540. Salary will be discussed and negotiated during interview and will be based on experience.
