In this position, you will be responsible for developing procurement, sourcing and legal strategies for the critical contracts of major construction projects in the exciting and rapidly expanding Nuclear Sector. Role & ResponsibilityYour role will entail the development and implementation of procurement strategies, sourcing and contract negotiations, and supporting the realization of major construction projects.Your responsibilities will include:Plan, implement, and execute procurement/tender strategies from start to finish.Draft and negotiate contracts for supply of components or construction and installation services.Provide guidance and advice to our clients on a variety of commercial and contractual matters.Lead and coordinate commercial, technical, financial and legal expertise while ensuring compliance with our clients’ governance and approval procedures.Provide maximum value to our clients in terms of quality, price and schedule while managing risks.Lead and perform the complete procurement process including issuing of requests for information, requests for proposals and tenders, evaluating proposals, recommending the award of and finalizing contracts.Ensure that the procurement process is executed according to client policies and procedures, and documented to allow transparency and traceability throughout. Ideally you will have:Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field of study.Experience in a similar role, planning and executing procurement strategies.Experience with large-scale construction projects.Experience with leading and managing procurement and tender processes.Ability to project manage processes and lead negotiations.Strong interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills.Structured and methodical way of working.Valid driving license and willingness to go for site visits in Oshawa when required Additional InformationWhat's in it for you...
