What you get to do every day:
- Manage and support security operations across cloud, hybrid, and SaaS
environments, ensuring scalable and resilient controls.
- Perform daily security tasks including access reviews, firewall and policy
updates, and alert triage.
- Monitor telemetry, logs, and threat intel to detect anomalies and enhance
detection and response pipelines.
- Lead or assist in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and
coordinated remediation across multi-cloud workloads.
- Participate in on-call rotations and readiness exercises for
production-impacting incidents.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and identity teams to validate
alerts and drive response efforts.
- Support audits, access reviews, and remediation of security and compliance
findings.
- Maintain and improve security playbooks, operational runbooks, and governance
documentation.
- Distribute relevant threat intel and assess risk exemptions aligned with
KUBRA’s IT risk framework.
What kind of person should you be?
- A strong ability to parse, filter, and prioritize relevant security logs and
events across complex environments.
- Proven experience managing multiple high-priority tasks and projects in
parallel without sacrificing quality.
- Clear and effective communication skills—capable of articulating technical
findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Solid project management skills with a track record of delivering security
initiatives on time and within scope.
- Excellent organizational habits and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve
issues in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
- A self-driven mindset—you stay composed under pressure and operate
effectively with minimal supervision.
What skills do you need?
- Education Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent Experience in Computer Information Systems
- Certification i.e., E|CIH OR GCIH, E|CEH, (ISC)2 CC. AWS CPP OR AZ-900 is
required
- Other relevant certifications that are considered an asset including GCIH,
GCIA, GCFE, GREM, GCFA, GSEC etc.
- Work Experience Requirements:
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience in a Security Operations role
- 2+ years of experience in Incident Management and related processes
- Prior experience with Cloud based services (AWS/Azure) is considered a strong
asset
- Prior experience architecting information security solutions considered a
strong asset
- Knowledge of PCI, SOC, SOX and other standards is preferred
