THE OPPORTUNITY
Please note, this is an in-office position in Kelowna.
Reporting to the Controller, Communities, this role is cyclical and involves processing of accounts payable invoices, residential property accounting and reporting for multiple entities within our portfolio of residential apartment properties. You will be responsible for ensuring tight deadlines are met with accuracy each month.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Input of accounts payable invoices
Responding to supplier inquiries
Preparing monthly and periodical payments (via direct deposit and cheque)
Credit card expense claim processing
Preparing rent rolls
Posting monthly operating journal entries
Bank reconciliations
Weekly cash flow updates
Preparing month-end and year-end files
Liaising with Community Leaders of your assigned properties
Assisting with property specific reporting and data compilation
Ad hoc projects
IDEAL CANDIDATE

Required experience/qualifications:
Hold an Accounting diploma or degree – relevant accounting experience may be considered.
Experience with property accounting considered an asset.
Proficient skills in Microsoft Office 365 and advanced knowledge of Excel.
Experience with Yardi, Acumatica and Dext considered a strong asset.
Be highly motivated to learn and have specific interest in operating multi-family apartments.
Adaptability in the face of change and willingness to learn.
Enjoy managing multiple tasks and working with different departments simultaneously.
Able to process a high volume of work quickly and accurately.
Open to periodic overtime.
