Is it time to take your career one step closer to Program Supervision? We are looking for Lead Child and Youth Care Workers (CYCWs) in Edmonton, to set up youth for success after their time with CarePros by nurturing their physical, social, cultural, and emotional well-being. As your Program Supervisor's right hand, you'll exemplify our core values in everything you do. By showcasing your Service Excellence and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) skills, you'll be a clear model for CYCWs in day in and day out.
Hours of Work and Rotation: 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, 6 days on 3 days off
Your Typical Day
Provide daily updates and report critical incidents
Support your youth in planning and reaching goals
Maintain daily activities, observations, and direct hours of service records
Compile data for Case Team meetings/stakeholder reporting
Attend legal appointments and required follow-up
Support the ongoing development of care plans and programs
Audit first aid supplies monthly
Create menus, track inventory, and maintain weekly shopping/grocery lists
Build relationship with your youth to guide and support them through mentorship, role modelling, and positive reinforcement
Contribute to recreation, life skills, cultural, and community connections planning
Facilitate and coordinate school, employment, and volunteering
Book and attend medical appointments (dental, optical, and psychiatry)
What You Bring To The Table
1+ years proven experience supporting youth with complex behavioural and mental health needs
Completion of a Degree or Diploma in Child and Youth Care or Social Work preferred
In-depth knowledge of child and youth care mental wellness, service excellence, therapeutic crisis intervention, and home care best practices
Unmatched written and verbal communication skills
Superb execution of documentation requirements for maintaining records and completing forms
Must-Haves
Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s Licence, 10-Year Alberta Driver’s Abstract, and Alberta auto insurance with $2 million liability in your name
Valid Standard First Aid + AED with CPR Level C
Clear Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check from the last 6 months
Clear Intervention Record Check from the last 6 months
