Manufacturing Accountant (Cost Accounting exp req) Description
Our client in the commercial and institutional HVAC industry is seeking a
full-time Manufacturing Accountant to join their team in Mississauga, ON.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, this role plays a key part in supporting
the company’s financial operations, including month-end close, budgeting,
financial reporting, inventory management, and job costing. You’ll work with a
small, collaborative finance team and use the Visual Manufacturing ERP system to
maintain accurate financial data and reporting. This is a great opportunity for
someone with strong full-cycle accounting experience—ideally in a manufacturing
or inventory-based environment—who enjoys digging into the numbers and

Manufacturing Accountant (Cost Accounting exp req) Responsibilities
• Perform full-cycle accounting and lead month-end close, including
reconciliations and financial reports
• Prepare financial reports for management review
• Support year-end audit activities
• Maintain and improve data integrity within the ERP system
• Assist with annual budgeting and track performance against budget
• Update weekly cash flow and monthly sales forecast reports
• Ensure inventory is accurately reported and aligned with accounting
standards
• Lead the annual physical inventory count process, including planning and
reconciliation
• Monitor and support the return (RMA) process to ensure compliance
• Support job profitability and ROI analysis in collaboration with the
Director of Finance
• Prepare and file HST returns and assist with government survey reporting
• Ensure financial data security and compliance with privacy regulations
Manufacturing Accountant (Cost Accounting exp req) Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required
• 3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience in manufacturing environment
required
• Cost accounting experience required
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, etc.) required
• Hands-on experience with ERP software (e.g., Visual ERP or similar)
required
