Join Spectrum and embrace the future of integrated care!Job DescriptionThis is a unique opportunity to be part of a tight-knit, collaborative team from across the health sector where you will lead an interdisciplinary team in delivering holistic, integrated palliative care services in the Mississauga community and surrounding area, ensuring the highest quality, patient-centered care.Key responsibilities include:Develop and implement innovative palliative care programs, optimizing service delivery and care transitions across the health systemLead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary team of nurses, PSWs, and allied health professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learningEnsure program quality and efficiency through data-driven insights, performance monitoring, and implementation of best practicesCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance palliative care services and support seamless care integrationOversee recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing professional development of team membersAddress quality, safety, and risk issues, developing and implementing improvement plans as neededQualificationsCurrent CNO certificate as Registered Nurse, degree preferredMinimum of 5 years of recent experience with progressive responsibilities as a Nursing Manager, preferably in a community settingSuccessful completion of one or a combination of the following required: Canadian Nursing Association (CNA) certification in Palliative Care Nursing or enrollment in CNA certification program in Palliative Care Nursing; or Learning Essentials Approaches to Palliative and End of Life Care (LEAP); or Fundamentals of Palliative Care The Comprehensive Advanced Palliative Care Education (CAPCE) Experience managing in a union environment is an assetSolid knowledge of the principles, practices, and methods related to leading multidisciplinary teamsExperience with program development, implementation and evaluationValid G driver's license and reliable vehicle#Peel_Mngr Additional InformationSpectrum Health Care is thrilled to be named one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies.
