Tli?cho Engineering & Environmental Services Ltd. is currently accepting applications for the following position:
Environmental Monitor (TEES)
Are you passionate about the environment and enjoy working outdoors? Join our team and support important environmental monitoring and protection work in the North.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect water samples and maintain proper documentation
Track and record waste materials
Support environmental site inspections
Enter and manage environmental data
Observe and document wildlife and vegetation, as needed
Assist in data summary and report writing
Conduct hazard assessments of buildings/property/sites
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience as an Environmental Assistant or Technician would be considered an asset
Follow technical procedures as outlined/determined by the client
Proficient in the English language
Physically fit as these projects include hiking over terrain while carrying sampling equipment
Water quality sampling experience an asset, however training will be provided in the field
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
Able to work independently while maintaining safety as a top priority
Comfortable working in remote locations and travelling by helicopter or small aircraft
Enrollment in, or completion of an Environmental and Natural Resources Technology Program (or equivalent)
