Located near the Kelowna Airport, we are on a bus route, with a stop just outside of the hotel. We also pickup our employees from the bus loop at UBCO!
What will you be doing?
Inspiring and engaging. As an Assistant Front Office Manager, you will show your leadership and interpersonal strengths to maximize the Front Office Operations, and ensure an exceptional guest journey.
Support the Director of Rooms and Front Office Team with all aspects of the Front Office department and ensure all service standards are followed with friendly and engaging service
Handle guest concerns and react quickly, tracking and notifying proper departments to guarantee memorable moments for our guests
Ensures compliance with all Front Office policies, brand standards, online training and procedures
Monitor work hours, scheduling and vacation planning of Front Office associates while adhering to budgeted labour costs based on hotel occupancy and work volumes.
Participate in recruitment, selection, training and performance management of Front Office team members.
Attend various meetings and hotel functions as relating to the Front Office function in lieu of the Dual Director of Rooms; Assists in conducting regular Department meetings and training sessions
Complete managerial tasks such as scheduling, payroll, performance management & coaching
Ensure, all service standards and procedures are adhered to
Follow company policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training
Audits on stock in all areas to make sure that all required hotel supplies are ordered and stocked in advance of need.
Must be available to cover shifts for sick calls & emergencies.
Available to work varied shifts: days, evenings, weekends and holidays
Operate Hotel shuttle in a safe manner in accordance with the Motor Vehicle Act
Ensure shuttle operations are running efficiently during shift
Additional duties are requested by management
What are we looking for?
To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviors, skills, and values that follow:
1 years’ Front Office experience in a leadership position
Service focused personality is essential and previous leadership experience required
Valid first aid an asset
Class 5 drivers license
Highly organized with an attention to detail
Prior experience working with Pep (Hilton) or related system an asset
Proven ability to build and maintain good relationships guests and associates
Ability to lead by example, believe in a strong team culture and set the scene for high performance
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds
