In this role, you will provide crucial support to attorneys, assisting with various legal tasks and ensuring smooth operation of their practice.Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contractsManage case files and maintain accurate, up-to-date records in our case management systemAssist attorneys in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and preparing trial bindersSchedule depositions, hearings, and client meetingsCommunicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel in a professional mannerPerform conflict checks and maintain confidentiality of sensitive informationFile documents with courts and government agencies, ensuring compliance with deadlines and proceduresAssist with document review and e-discovery processesPrepare and proofread correspondence, legal memoranda, and other documentsManage attorneys' calendars and coordinate travel arrangements when necessaryQualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or related field2-3 years of experience in a law firm or legal departmentParalegal certification preferredExcellent legal research and writing skillsProficiency in case management software and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities efficientlyExceptional organizational and time management skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsIn-depth knowledge of legal procedures and terminologyUnderstanding of various areas of law, including family, criminal, corporate, litigation, and real estateAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong problem-solving skills and ability to exercise sound judgmentCommitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standardsAdditional InformationAll information will be kept confidential according to privacy guidelines.Matrix is an equal opportunity employer.
