About the Role:
We are currently seeking motivated and experienced individuals to join our growing team as Underground Mining Supervisors. We are actively hiring for multiple positions across several projects in Sudbury and Northern Ontario.
This position plays a key role in overseeing the safe and efficient execution of underground mining activities. Supervisors are responsible for leading crews, maintaining high safety standards, and ensuring work is completed on schedule and in alignment with project requirements. While experience in raise boring is considered an asset, this role encompasses a range of underground mining operations including development, production, and construction. The key responsibilities of a underground mining supervisor include but are not limited to:
Oversee daily mining operations in alignment with project scope which could entail development, production, construction, and raise bore work
Ensure all work is performed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to underground crew
Perform daily workplace inspections and proactively identify and address any hazards
Coordinate with project and site management to ensure alignment on priorities and timelines
Conduct performance evaluations and support continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and legislative requirements
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of underground experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
Experience with raise boring and/or long hole equipment and techniques is considered an asset (U0072 Operate Raise Bore is also considered an asset)
Must have valid MTCU Module 770121 Common Core for First Line Underground Supervisors required
Must have valid Basic Underground Common Core (770010)
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project plans
Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and industry standards
Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a fast-paced underground environment
Interest in travelling to various project sites within Ontario is considered an asset
