We’re seeking a driven, commercially astute Field Sales Engineer – Large Projects to help grow our Advanced Water Solutions (AW) business across the UK and key European markets. In this role, you will be responsible for winning large, complex projects by nurturing strategic customer relationships, identifying new opportunities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver industry-leading water solutions. Your Mission: Develop and execute customer-focused sales strategies to secure new business and grow existing accounts Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, technical decision-makers, and procurement teams Manage the full sales lifecycle from lead generation through to proposal, negotiation, and close Monitor industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to adapt and drive market penetration Lead and support competitive bids, tenders, and technical proposals in collaboration with internal teams Report on performance metrics, pipeline health, and progress against plan to senior management Collaborate with internal stakeholders – from Application Engineering to After-Sales – to ensure exceptional service delivery and customer satisfaction What You’ll Bring: 5+ years’ experience in a technical sales role, ideally within the water sector or capital equipment markets Proven track record of securing complex project wins and building long-term customer partnerships Strong knowledge of market dynamics within the water industry or industrial infrastructure sectors Excellent negotiation, communication, and strategic sales skills Comfortable working independently in a highly autonomous, field-based role Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related technical field (preferred) Fluent in the primary language of your territory (C1 level) Strong English communication skills (B2 or above) Willingness and ability to travel extensively across Europe Why Xylem?
