The opportunity
Heart & Stroke is seeking a full-time Resuscitation Program Manager to lead the
expansion of life-saving training initiatives throughout Canada. This position
integrates business development and program management responsibilities,
including cultivating strategic partnerships, growing the instructor network,
and ensuring the delivery of high-quality programs.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Resuscitation Business Development &
Engagement, this role is tasked with developing and maintaining robust
relationships to broaden access to essential training programs across Ontario,
Manitoba, and Nunavut. A primary focus will be supporting the instructor
network and collaborating with organizations to elevate standards of care,
positioning Heart & Stroke programs as the preferred choice among employers and
healthcare providers for top-tier training from accredited instructors.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate substantial experience in medical sales and/or
business development, in addition to holding a professional background in
healthcare provision. Proven expertise in establishing partnerships with medical
agencies and a comprehensive understanding of medical standards and practices
are prerequisites. Professionals who are strategic, relationship-oriented,
possess account management, program, and team leadership experience, and are
driven by impactful work are encouraged to apply.
H&S offers hybrid working conditions and invites applications from candidates
currently living in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Applicants should be able
to work from our Toronto office at Yonge & Eglinton as needed, based on business
requirements. This role is accountable for the leadership of a resuscitation
program specialist.
This role involves frequent travel throughout the province of Ontario and
occasional airline travel and overnight stays for multiple days in Manitoba. A
valid driver's license and access to a vehicle is required.

Knows our customer and instructor network

Develops a strong understanding of our customers and instructor networks and
nurtures strong relationships with key stakeholders and constituents by
tracking interactions and outcomes in Salesforce CRM.

Engages directly and regularly with top performers in our network in their
region and across disciplines and market segments

Assembles and consults with trusted individuals in our network to acquire
their insights, advice and guidance.

Tracks and develops performance plans to address poor performers in their
region.

Deepens our understanding of our constituents through effective investigation

Knows our Programs

Understands and communicates the value proposition, and key differentiators
of our products and programs.

Contributes to the development and/or implementation of marketing strategies
that specifically promote H&S resuscitation and first aid programs.

Utilizes Resuscitation portal, Salesforce system and PowerBI dashboards to
evaluate and monitor performance of our products and programs and to develop
informed plans.
Helps us “Deliver the Mission” by expanding our reach and network

Develops plans to grow and expand the reach and effectiveness of our network
and implements innovative solutions to do so.

Engages with customers and potential partners to explore and expand
opportunities for new business development.

Identifies, recruits and cultivates a network of high-performers and sponsors
individuals for promotion to Instructor Trainer (IT) status, as appropriate.

Develops and maintains a provincial network with relevant institutions and
professional organizations to connect and align with.

Keeps up with the latest industry developments, including direct market
competitors.

Follows up with new leads and referrals generated from the specialist and
others on our team
Supports our partners and network

Navigates complex issues to support positive outcomes for our partners in
each segment of our network.

Develops strong communities of practice within our networks and regularly
meets with them to advance objectives, deepen relationships and address
emerging issues.

Shows a bias for action and a sense of urgency to resolve matters and
identify solutions.

Effectively and consistently activates a solution-oriented,
relationship-centric remediation approach to resolve complaints and QA
investigations, to maintain and improve the performance of our instructor
network.

Deactivates instructors who are not adhering H&S criteria and agreements.
Who we need
Education
-
Bachelors degree in health science, business or a related field.
-
An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
-
Certificate/training in adult education preferred.
Experience
-
Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in a sales or business development role,
preferably in the CPR / first aid training marketplace.

Heart & Stroke Instructor certification and/or other agency instructional
experience an asset.

Knowledge of provincial healthcare systems and resuscitation training
agencies an asset.

Experience working in the health care field an asset

Experience in the not-for-profit sector would be an asset

Experience managing a team remotely

Knowledge of basic medical terminology and life support equipment, an asset.
